We are GMC

Geological and Mining Consultants Company (GMC) was established as a private partnership in 2012 with the purpose of providing geological and raw materials investigation consultancy to the building materials sector, with specific focus on the cement industry.

The company capitalized on the significant experience of its founder and Manging Director, who has a long and vast experience in the cement sector. His experience spans more than 30 years in which he served as the Head of Geology and Mining at Lafarge Egypt and Orascom Construction Industries (Cement Division), overlooking all the geological and raw materials studies and operations of the companies on a regional level. Prior to that he worked at Assiut Cement Company and Helwan Cement Company.

In 2016, GMC started an ambitious plan to grow its business into relevant sectors that would capitalize on the know-how and technical capabilities of its partners and executives. The company has since undergone a restructuring process via establishing itself as a joint stock entity, GMC SAE, and partnering with Anchor Building Materials SAE, represented by Dr. Ahmed Moharram.

This enabled a strategic alliance with ACE Moharram Bakhoum Group in which Ace would complement GMC with engineering and project management expertise synergetic with its activities by providing a wider spectrum of developmental and engineering solutions.
